Ubuntu - Humanity to others

The word Ubuntu is an ancient African word meaning ‘humanity to others’. It also means ‘I am what I am because of who we all are’.

If you dint know, Ubuntu is a Linux distribution based on debian. It turned 7 yesterday (on October 20th).

It is a Linux for common folks, not just geeks. My three year old daughter comfortably uses Ubuntu, is proof for its friendliness & simplicity. ubuntu.com claims that it is being used by 20 million people world wide. (I just upgraded my netbook to 11.10 two days back and it feels like breeze).

On its seventh birthday I just want recommend people to try it, use it & spread the word.

Are you worried about support by any chance? Canonical the company behind ubuntu also provides support to home users.
