Shikha with a little Caterpillar.
I feel my daughter should grow up developing a deeper connection with nature. So, I help her overcome fear and appreciate little creatures like these, by encouraging her to observe and some times gently handle them.
This was a little caterpillar that came along with some green peas I brought.
This adventurous little baby squirrel entered my house, and was trying to hide behind all kinds of things when we noticed him. He was lost in the wilderness of our house and was probably shocked by our presence. However I managed to safely get him out, through the back door through which he had entered.
To my surprise he was joined by another baby squirrel in the open area. Both of them huddled up in a corner and after a while the second, went away. The first one, still looked shocked & stayed there. I nudged him into a little bowl and gave him a banana which he nibbled on. Then I left him alone to relax and find his way back.
A while later I opened the door to check what the little guy was up to. He was in the corner and not in the bowl where I placed him. When I and my daughter went closer to have a look, he ran right back into my house again. He is behind some furniture now.
Well, this weekend is turning into an experience with this little guy…
