- A rant I copied from a blog post on the net, and I am not sure if the person has read this article.
After the recent Maoist attacks in India, I have seen such expressions of ire at people like Arundhati Roy and any one who might have tried to look at the Maoist issue from a different perspective.
Maoist insurgency in India is sure a huge problem. While we have enough violence in the world to keep the news channels sensational every hour, I don’t expect people to be sympathetic to those who wiped out a whole camp of police men in a single swoop or derailed trains killing hundresds of people. However before putting the ‘Maosist problem’ in the same bag as ‘International Terrorism’, I invite people to read this article.
Like my friend put it (forwarding this link to me), “there are no easy answers but at least we will have a well rounded understanding of what is going on!”.
