Indus Script associated with the Indus Valley Civilization is yet undeciphered. Wondering why and roaming about brought me to this very well written Straight Dope response to this question. I recommend this to anyone interested in knowing why the Indus Script and many others are still a mystery in an age of computers that can munch petaflops for snacks.
1947 (last year of the Indian Cheetah)
People who know Indian political history know the significance of the year 1947. Sadly it was also the last year for cheetah in India.
I just learnt from an article that the the last three were shot (in one go) in 1947.
