Social-Bait

Social-bait: A minuscule offering made to society/people by corporations, governments etc., in view of a disproportionately larger benefit in return.

Examples:

  1. Cash, liquor or other small give-aways for votes.
  2. A corporate sponsoring a small medical facility etc. for a village before taking over huge tracts of land under their control.
